DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

have you been there since they repaved 2 years ago. ive seen snow tires hook up there now

No I have not. I have not been to the track for over two years now. My son developed what the Dr. said was adult onset epalepisy it runs in my familey and I just did not feel like going to the track for a long time. He is starting to get it under control now I hope. Dr. are trying different meds and this one seems to be working

Here is a link to a video of him at Bradenton on my 98 Bandit 1200. It is street legal also. That is him riding in the pic in my avatar

You got that right I can build a quick bike. Infact it is even quicker now. Since that video was taken I put a bigger intake cam, bigger carbs, took another .040 off the head, put a fresh bore and rings, and added 3 more inches to the swingarm. I am sure it will run some high 8.90's now. But I suck at operating a camera Some of my other videos are even worse

Love that yellow 1150, very tastefully done. It's got all the right stuff.

Thanks Evan,
I have always wanted to paint my 85 GS1150 yellow infact I bought the paint for its called yellow chrome it is a Ford color and got talked out of it. So when a friend in NJ. sent me a link from craiglist I knew it had to be mine. He went over checked it out and picked it up for me. He is holding it in his garage until I can pick it up. It was featured it two magazines. and in a calender in England that is where it came from. The two magazine articals and the calender comes with it. I paid way less than the carbs, pipe, swingarm, and shock would normaly cost. I feel like I stole it I got it so cheep. And when I get it home I am gonna ride it like I stole it.

How quick was the Honda? I ran an '83 1100 f for a couple years, quickest was 10.19 at 128.

9.69 was my usual dial in. The best on the motor only was 9.62 @ 144 mph and it went a best of 8.97 @ 155 mph sprayin it. And that was very quick back then not very many street legel bikes running in the 9's back then

I've just spent the past couple of days going through this thread. It is so interesting how much diversity there is here , all of the work involved and some really creative minds at work. My favorite is a green 400 posted about a year ago. Clean cafe, but I think that the small bikes pull off the cafe look a bit better.

That being said, there are a lot bikes that hit the top of the POS scale. How some would ever be ridden I have no idea. For some you could not be taller than 5 foot to fit in the ergonomics of the bike. Some, you would need 5 foot arms to ride. Others, you have a seat that would make even the most cushioned ass sore after a block or two. One had a suicide shifter and I have visions of shifting in a corner and steering with one hand, or in between two semis on the interstate. Clever though.

Before I get piled on, I appreciate the amount of work that is involved on a bike, I do it too. I also realize that this is a "mod" thread and for each idea there is a market. People like what they like. I guess what I'm saying is I have a better appreciation of the genius that produced the stock motorcycles.

Bikes end up looking like they do because of so many things.
The owners personality and values. How much they can invest. What parts are available or "will work". How much patience they have. How much they can put up with when they take short cuts, etc.
For the bikes that look a little "different", at least the owner tries. I agree some of them look unsafe. But nobody forces you to ride what you create except yourself.
