A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Post Your Race/Track bike Pics!

Here's a shot of my Ducati at the Track Day at Motorsports Ranch this past weekend.

Just dawned on me: You guys burn Methanol? How'd that come about? Is that side by side with gas burners?

Australia and New Zealand allowed Methanol in roadracing classes for many years. In NZ we're allowed it for fourstrokes up to 1989.
Many people on a budget just run gas. At this level of competition the rider ability has more to do with success than power.
Phillip Island of course sees maximum effort - it's a fast track and a big meeting.

Hey John, really nice bike, and from the looks of that tire, you've got plenty of trust it'll stick!
Bill

I haven't been as agressive on the throttle but the tyres are worn all the way out to the edge, this on my GS. :)

Dunlop Sportmax Sportsmart are also awesome. :D

Finally got some on track photos from the last Track Day. You'll have to excuse the poor form, still learning, but having fun. :)

Hey J, you look OK.
I can't figure out, why would Louisiana have a last track day, except on Dec. 31st?

Thanks Bil, the track is Cresson Motorsports Ranch. It's located a few miles SW of Fort Worth, Tx. There are a couple of track days in Tx. after this one, but this is the last one put on by my buddy Jeff Nash @ Advanced Motor Sports. There are tracks closer (Houston) but they don't have the elevation changes this one does. There is only one track in Louisiana, and it's on the other end of the state from me.

Yes, that would be him! Originally from New Zealand and still has family there. He is the owner of Advanced Motor Sports/Ducati Dallas in Dallas, TX. Really great guy and one of the best Ducati engine builder/tuners around.

I only met him a couple of times through mutual friends in the BEARS club.
Tell him we're still here despite the quake - and it's about time he came back for the Sound Of Thunder meeting, preferably with a quick Ducati.

The damage has got low side/front lock up writen all over it......
@ Pedda: hope you came out of it not too banged up mate, nice bike by the way

Pretty right that is. Lost front grip in a fast 5th gear left hander, Katana performing a lovely salto into the gravel. Me sliding with my ripcage over the curbs, bumped heavily, I tell ya. For the following weeks that caused me some severe...errr... yes, let's face the truth... ahem.... labour pain everytime I tried to do something copious on the toilet... :-\\\

Besides that I had two fingers' capsules grinded by the tarmac.

Halloween drag race

Halloween drag race

Hi GSR
Had my bikes out at MIR for some fun.
Picture #1Outlaw Chassis with 1260 10:1 engine g4 cams out for almost the first time with Brakes...hahah ran a 9.50 140mph,I know I need to put the bar on and run and 8.90...
The Almost mint 1210 actual miles VERY CLEAN 1985 Gs 1150 I have had for years,we put the engine together from spare parts from my street bike build, most of the summer some might remember the engine that had the Valve adjuster screw fall down and break the cam chain at about 8k.The bike has a stock set of 1150 carbs 5in slick, stock 1150 head,1166 kit, welded basket.air shifter..Bike ran a 10.7 129mph with a 240lb rider. Not bad for such a beast.
