    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Can't say I understand the whole bobber concept, but it looks like you have executed it nicely. Beer bottles in the photo are a nice touch - reminds me of my garage.:)
 
I understand it very much. It's the same as a Cafe project - it's about building a personal bike for the most important motorcyclist ever.

Nice project there Briyen. I like the look of those forks. Keep going, I'll keep watching.
 
thanks guys, that cricket was driving me crazy. Hope to be done soon. I'll post some more pics as it gets closer.
 
Cool color, nice job welding the rear to make it a rigid, now all you need to do is rake it 45 degrees and put some drag bars on it and some...........oops wait a minute that's my project i'm thinking of-lol looks good keep it up.
 
The silver/red combination looks nice. The painted forks will set it off nicely when it is put together.
 
Nicely executed. The twins are probably the best candidates for this type of thing.
 
thanks all! Put my bars on and the headlight. Hoping for the front wheel tonight. Drew out the wire diagram in my free time at work. Only eight wires! That should only take all day to do. Hate wires.

I agree that a twin is the only way this would look as good as it does. Though I do want to build an inline four as well. That will be along time from now and toataly different in design. More in the spirit of a Roland Sands bike.

Hi Mr. briyenkeith,

It's really starting to come together now. I think it would look cool to also paint the calipers and valve cover end caps the same red as the tank and fender. Then put some red Suzuki "S" emblems on the crankcase covers (ignition and stator areas). But that's just me. Keep up the good work.

thanks basscliff. Got the front wheel on tonight, this morning, whatever you call it. As always two steps forward one back. The more I looked at the tail light seemed cocked to one side. Three new holes and I'm ready to paint it again. Will need to weld the old ones shut but that's nothing. Cleaned and painted the reg/rec and start relay.

got my electrics bolted in place yesterday. Nice and tidy. Tomorrow Im going to radio shack for some of those plastic bulkhead connectors. I really want the electrics to be clean and as pro looking as possible. I have everything mounted in the open so appearance is key. Will post pics in a day or so.
 
Awesome bike. I love the clean execution. Way cleaner then anything I can build that's for sure. Did you hardtail it from scratch or go with a kit?
 
fabricated everything myself. Well more or less, I cheated a bit, had the steel yard make the bends for me. Didn't want to buy a tube bender. Otherwise all me. Thanks

charging system is wired up. Thank you Radio Shack. The rear fender is under way. Old holes welded up and ground flush, even skimed a bit of bondo over it. Pretty productive day in all, even managed to get a skate session in. I think tomorrow I'll try for the starter circuit and possibly the ignition system. I'll edit a pic into this post after I get it in photobucket.

Thank you. So today I got some more done. Finished up the starter circuit and started the rest. Wait till you guys see this. Pretty slick if I say so. Everything is shrink tubed up and running in nice tight lines out of sight for the most part. Made another trip to the local radio shack for some swithches, momentary and on-off-on. The momentary obviously for the starter and the other for the headlight. I put them under the seat on the gusset, which was as thick as the thread on the switches. Of course I firured that out after I drilled the first hole. Now for the first time my lack of available tools gave me a great solution. My drill only holds a 3/8 bit and the holes needed to be 1/2, enter the UNI bit. Now the uni works in steps and the plate is thicker than the step, so I counter sunk the switches. From ?$@& to ?$9& yeah! Cleaner than I would ever dreamed. I got so lucky. Just need a few connector and shrink tube and it's wired up. Pics to come.

just need to solder a few more wires and I have a harness even the factory would approve. The cleanest one to date and i have done some nice ones.
