I recently installed an aftermarket clutch lever that wasn't exactly OEM and wasn't deactivating the clutch switch when it was pulled in. I did some research on the forums, tracked down two green/yellow wires coming down from the switch/lever area and into the headlight bucket .... disconnected them from the corresponding green/yellow wires and connected them to each other.
My question ...
There are now two empty green/yellow wires in the headlight bucket (the ones that were originally connected to the clutch switch wires), one male and one female. Do I also connect them to each other? OR will that cause a short in the system. I have been slowly working through a number of electrical problems over the past few months (sealed MF battery, replaced stator, upgraded R/R, ignition coils) and want to rule out everything else that I can.
Thanks!
