Unlike the front, the rear master cylinder was pretty easy to take apart so far. I still have the connection from the reservoir to the cylinder to take out but I'll do that tomorrow since I need to get to my vise in the shed first.
However, looking at this picture I know I need to do some pretty serious cleaning with brake cleaner to get the gunk off the rod and the inside of the cylinder. But, how do I know if I need a rebuild kit? What should I look for as I'm cleaning it?
Thanks.
