A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

"- an oak plank kicked back and caught me..."
Wow Brian - good thing you didn't get that plank in your eye. MWAaaaaahh. Heh.
Sorry.
Just waiting on the availability like everyone else.
I'm also very interested in the design, manufacture, and marketing process. But then again I'm interested in those processes regarding everything from torch tips to toilet paper. You see, there's an industrial designer in me dying to get out.

Thafety thirtht!

Ha - Sorry again. (Been there!)

the shocks are ready there were several production issues but they have been resolved and the run has begun.

Are you ready to take my money? How's the run coming? Silver/black, please (or black/black). I've been rat-holing the funds for a set of these... you'd better hurry and take it before my wife finds it! ;-)

I started putting a few dollars away each week for these shocks, Im up to about $2,500 now and I found a 1955 chevy 1/2 ton I might want to buy.

:lol: I've saved it and spent it a few times myself! I'm in no hurry. Brian seems to want to get it right and sell quality. I appreciate that. I just need my two sets before next spring.

Wow..you guys are still waiting for those VIPEX...How long are you guys willing to wait?

If they are as good as Brian makes them out to be, then they are worth the wait. Yes?

In the mean time I have bought a used pair of Ohlins shocks for my GS1000. Got 'em for $400 bucks. No leaks, and they work well. When these VIPEX shocks finally hit the market, I will prolly sell the Ohlins on ebay.

Good luck; hope they work out for ya. It must be torture waiting just as another winter aproaches.

I agree with Tom. If they are as good as advertised, they will be the best deal on suspension for our bikes by far!

I can wait.

Finally got a reply to an email I sent via Vipex website, mind it says still working out some kinks, so we wait some more.

Re: Honda CB Series Bikes

Re: Honda CB Series Bikes

Welcome to the GS Forum. I was originally and still am, a huge Honda CB
fan. They are well engineered, and a proven motorcycle any proud owner
would enjoy and understand. They are a classic machine as well as the
GS series. Both have deep roots in Japanese motorycle history and racing.

Both series are bullet-proof, and a joy to own and collect. The styling is
out of this world. In 1980, the CB750F was the best handling motorcycle of its time. Just an awesome machine that I bought one. Unfortunately, a thief at the Santa Monica Pier thought so too, and I never saw my bike again.

The CB700 Nighthawk took this series into a new and different direction.
It was very successful from its short lifespan of 84-86. I had 3 of these
bikes, and I always retain one now due to its high reliability factor. It always runs, and never quits. Standard features back then are missing today. i.e. Hydralic valve tappets, anti-dive forks, 6-speed transmission, shaft drive, hydraulic clutch, adj handlebars, and awesome naked (bikini) styling.

The bigbore 900-1100 are rare, and great machines. You cannot go wrong with the older Hondas. Great engineering and fantastic machines. Like
the Suzukis, the older 80s bikes are very cheap to own, and insure. They
are also very reliable.

Buying a Honda is like going to Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream and getting Vanilla.

Yup...whats another year .

Tony.

Another year closer to kidney replacement from the crappy old shocks that are on there???:-({|=

I saved and saved enough for the Swedish models and my arse and spine feel pretty darn good....

I'm interested in these also but the lack of communication is a concern. Last post was early July which is pushing 10 weeks now. Does not instill confidence in the customer service.
