Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Beautiful bike. Where did you hide the battery and electrical? What type of rear sets are you using. Nice ride.

Yes, all very nice bikes!
Just wondering, how much do your bikes weigh?
They kinda remind me of the new Norton Commando 961, only 414lb.
Price: ?15,750 or $22,470.

The new Norton's are sweet. Just got a scale this week. Finally warm enough to justify being out in the garage. I'll post it when I get some numbers

Still needs some cleaning up. I built a carbon fiber tray to hold all electrical except RR which is mounted under the tray out in the open for cooling.

Weight? She is 439 lbs empty of fuel! I am sure I can shave another 10 lbs or so if I wanted. I will be busy working on the 1100ESD for now. But the next focus on the 1000 is suspension work especially the forks, things like springs and emulators.

Gsxr rearsets, battery is a Ballistic 6 cell mounted in rear tail cowl. The 6 cell is a little small with the Yosh 1085 10:1 compression ratio. Use to have starter clutch kick back but that has been fixed with the ignition retard lever.

Had a shakedown ride, then took the bike back to track where it belongs. It went better than expected other than front suspension issues. Ran perfect. All recommended mods worked great. I have a feeling, it will get out again.

I did take it out! Had to... That's how I figured out the charging system issue. Ran total loss. Ran for over an hour, battery held up fine. Ill dig into the forks this week. I need to get rid of folding pegs too, they were folding up from my feet. Plenty of clearance. Got her on the scales last week. Using the bath room scale method, I came up with 462 lbs.

Not sure I would say less than a gallon, it was pretty early in the season. You mention you have a 1100esd thats going under the knife. What are your plans?

Basically stock rebuild, however, I have already put in 1150 cams, adjustable gears on the cams also. Dynojet 3 kit also going in, sonic springs up front with MikesXS emulators, Progressive on the rear, pods, full harness rebuild with relays, attempting to build a header for it right now.

It is currently a rolling chassis with engine installed, hoping to fire it up this weekend. this is going to be my long distance runner, heated grips, seat, 12 volt and usb outlets.

The 1000 is a blast, but it is only a hour or 2 ride then its not fun.

Here's the 2017 version. It's ready to go to the Rockerbox bike festival and AHMCA vintage road races. Many updates. I'll get to it later when I get some sleep

Not yet. It was the least of my problems, its kinda growing on me. Ill figure one out if I want to change the looks again. I have 2 more to do.

OK, fair enough. I've never liked the look of front wheels without fenders, so it stood out to me, but I know that, aside from the protective aspect, that's a matter of personal aesthetics.
