I'm thinking of doing a round of spring cleaning soon and I'm thinking of getting rid of an old GS brake caliper. The issue with it is a chunk was broken off of the thread where the bleeder valve was at and the bottom half of the valve is broken off on the inside of it too.
Now it is basically useless to me so I was wondering if I am able to recycle it. I figure I can remove the piston for later use or to sell and I can hopefully sell to rest to a scrap metal buyer.
Does anyone know if 1) this idea is viable and 2a) what metal this is made of or 2b) if a scrapper can identify what the metal is?
