    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Can anybody that has a red 1983 GS1100E take a close-up picture with a ruler for reference and also provide dimensions so that I can get Reproduction Decals to make one up of the tail decal?

I discovered long ago that any sign shop can cut decals for most vehicles. They will do it with any color material you like too. It is also really cheap. One dealership has a machine for cutting stonesheild, the guy who does it has also cut some suzuki emblems for me, i supply the material and he cuts it freeof charge. It is an option for you. I don't have an emblem on my tailsection, so I couldn't measure it for you. Sorry.
 
AOD has been working with Reproduction Decals to make up a set of decals for the blue '83 1100E. I'm sure they could change the colors to match the red model's decals.

Clear border decals???

I'm still hoping to get the dimensions for the 1983 GS1100E Red rear tail decal.

Also I might note that there seems to be come confusion about the tank decals. On the 1983 red bikes at least the decal is black with a silver outside border and what looks like a red line. As it turns out (on my bike I used a razor blade and cut back the decal) that the red line is really a clear and the red paint on the tank shows through.

Reproduction decals produced the 1982 red GS1100E with a red line in between the silver outside border and the black portion of the decal.

Minor detail but if some one could confirm or has bought the OEM decals please reply.

As mentioned in this link also, the 82 tail decal is that it is not the word "Suzuki", but rather a small S. This is an issue with the Reproduction Decals site.

Blue decals are available from Reproduction Decals now, I'm trying to get them to use the same blue color on the '82 silver tail piece sticker.

You may have to send an example of the red in, because the 82 is darker than the 83 red, if I'm not mistaken.

'82 1100E's was actually GS1100EZ. EX was 1981. Yeah, I've got some free time on my hands.
