    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was here when basscliff was only 5 years old. Seriously, it was at least 20 years now. I had to create a new account. I have a gs 1100 that needs rewired. I have to source a good harness somewhere.I have an 850 g parts bike, maybe sone of that harness will work? I need colored diagrams. I will post pictures once I get it back to my house from where it is right now. I love the gs bikes.

yep.I joined about 20 years ago.I had a 80 gs1000L. It blew a head gasket. I was ready to junk it. The guys here patiently worked me through it. I had done overhauls on ford 289, chevy 327, 350, straight chevy 6, one slant 6. But motorcycles are way different. Findng timing marks, rotating to one spot, then another, counting 20 pinss on the chain, having marks on the sprocket line up a certain way, all crazy. Then fitting 4 carbs back on with the airbox giving you about a 1/16 of an inch to work with, all a bunch of crap to deal with. But I sure did enjoy hotrodding it after i did the head gasket, cylinder base gasket, all the o rings and seals, etc.But electric stuff is impossible for me. I hope to find a good harness and slowly install it, but have no confidence I can do it.

As mentioned in your other thread, hook up with chuck. He will help you...

I recall the name Ron Bayless. Welcome back.

Mr Cliff BassCliff hasnt been around much in recent years. (Left the bike in California when moved to Wisconsin.)

Not many of the old timers are still around, and they dont post much.

I dont think any of the Texas guys that I meet at Texas Hill County in 2005 are around at all (do occassionall see a couple on FB GSR).
