Let me begin by saying, I appreciate all of you with wisdom helping out us youngsters. I've got myself a 1982 GS 650G scramblerish stocker. It's my daily transportation. Draining the fork fluid was easy. I'm having problems replacing the fork fluid. After I remove the fork caps and drained the air pressure, I'm left with removing this metal ring that's preventing me from dumping replacement fluid into the forks.
My question is this- what tool or method do you use to remove this metal ring from the air pressurizer, underneath the fork caps?
Apparently my English isn't up to par with everyone's and if pictures are needed just ask and I will clarify. Thank you in advance for the advice
