All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

My point is, that this site has normally a serious touch, and any ideas are welcome and will mostly get commented.

But you just put something out here from the blue, and called us who tried to understand your idea, a bunch of losers.

yea well i guess im just one of them young folks who doesn't know how to talk good.

Ice, I appreciate the fact you take part in the forums...you have certainly stirred things in this pot! I have my reservations about your suggestion but I am glad you posted it!

Hap

Well ice, I'll take a raincheck.

Some how I admire folks who can speak many lanuages and are not swelled headed about their talents

Hmmmm, ice. The purpose of speech is communication. Its no more advantageous to make a post in 14 letter words than it is to make one in clipped words and joined half phrases if no one can understand it. I'm ignorant/unaware of your thoughts prior to your post and only see your conclusion. It would be greatly helpful if you would post the basis, a more complete description and then your conclusion and question. The forum isnt a group of losers just because we are unable read your mind. Thanks

Earl

CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
Getting along is easy Rick but there comes a time when things must be said also-- No of the regulars did anything but become annoyed at being called old goats and losers etc. This is not normal for our bunch--we make fun of sizes, shapes, hair, noses and types of motorcycles. We have bashed women and women have bashed men. We have discussed politics and religion without wars and name calling. Adult conversation will always avoid any clashes. Nasty remarks will get even the quietest of folks to speak out.((NO NO of course im not calling myself quiet))

I guess I will turn to a life of crime and mayhem now because I was told I was a loser!

stator cover off!!!!!!

Okay, I just tried to get my stator cover off using the tip. I will give you a full status report when I get out of the hospital. :?

Sorry, but I agree that this doesn't sound safe at all.

Hap, I asked the head of the physics department at Texas A&M this question and he could not give me an answer. A few years later, a guy came by my house with an old friend and even though he had no reason to know the answer, he told me the answer. Here's the question. Why do the prongs on an electrical plug have holes in them? I'm talking about the regular AC plugs like on any household appliance.

Terry

To let the electricity pass through without resistance  --or many moons ago receptacles were made so that the copper contacts would sort of snap into the holes to hold the plug in place a little better--thats my guess
