Good morning,

I own a GS750L ratbike and I was wondering if there were any aftermarket gas caps we can use on our GS bikes?

If none does anyone have any suggestions for replacement tanks from other bikes/models?

Thanks,

I want to know about the tanks also, I have a 79 750L and want more fuel capacity, I wonder if a 1000 tank will hold more? I would think through mass production 750-1000 has the same tanks?

Yes, more gas carrying ability is what I want.
With this stage3 kit my fuel mileage is at 40 mpg and about 100 miles till main is empty. I want m0re!!

Check out some shaft drive gas tanks, that's what I'm doing to my 1979 750E model. Some shafty tanks have a gallon more capacity. You should be able to fit an L model shaft tank. If their is a local salvage yard, ride up there and take some tools and see what fits. I'm going with the 1100GK tank, just need to make new rear mounts on the frame.

Yes, my L model has a tiny assed little teardrop tank.
I'm seriously considering putting a 5-gallon Ninja600 tank on the bike and calling it a day.
At my current gas consumption I get about 90 miles and have to switch to reserve.
