    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

    Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

    So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I've had a supposedly pretty good Accu-Gauge dial type tire gauge for a couple years. I've noticed that it no longer resets all the way to zero and back-to-back readings differ by 2-3 psi. I read some good reviews of the Roadgear Hi-Tec Digital Tire Gauge. I ordered one last week and have tried it out on several different tires. The consistency of back-to back readings is perfect. It has a digital display and also 'talks' to tell you the reading. It reads in .5 psi increments. Back-to-back readings are identical and it takes about three readings for the tire pressure to drop .5 psi. You then get about three identical readings until it drops another .5 psi. The readings are consistently 2-5 psi lower than my Accu-Gauge. Their website claims plus or minus 1% accuracy but I can't understand that since it reads in .5 psi increments. That would mean it can only be within 1% if the pressure is 50 psi or higher. The consistency is so much better that I have more confidence in its accuracy. It has a replaceable battery and a five year warranty. It is also small enough that it can be easily carried in a tank bag or even underseat storage. So far I am very pleased with this gauge.

Hmmm,might have to chase that up.I just chucked my old faithful as the readings I was getting were consistantly inconsistant.Tyre pressures being so critical.Thanks for the tip old mate.Cheers,Simon.:-k
