A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just wanted to give a shout out for Jack of Roadster Cycle

I ordered up an FH020AA setup from his Ebay store. The shipping charges were low, the turnaround time was fantastic, and he has provided great customer support. I even blew the crimps twice (I suck with this new, great crimper) and he sent up some extra terminals for me, a part he doesn't offer as a sellable item.

Got it installed and despite my best efforts to make it difficult on myself (bad crimps/too much heat & solder flow/brittle wires), managed to get great charging numbers. 13.2V at idle and steady 14.33V above 1500 rpm.

I believe his products have been reviewed previously, but I just wanted to add that the components are simple to connect, and of seemingly high quality.

I took a bunch of photos, but am having problems with Photobucket of late. Hopefully I can find out where they have gone, and post them later.

Ordered from them myself about a year or so ago while building a little streetfighter.
Good products, decent prices, interesting site.

I have one of these R/Rs on my V-Strom. Good stuff!

(Yes, the zooty modern fuel injected V-Stroms suffer from the exact same electrical crap as the old GS models. Some things never change.)
