It's a really fun road. And I'll bet during the summer it's a lot cleaner than GMR, not as much rock slide material on the road.

Its fun to go down the other side into Palm desert and back up through Borego Springs, I think.

This coffee was really good. We had the house dark roast.

A couple of years ago a bunch of GS folk has a rally at Julian and we took a ride out to Borrego Springs.

This is the gang getting ready to break camp. Some went home. Some rode out to Borrego Springs.

We had lunch in Borrego Springs.

And a parting shot somewhere on Highway 79, I don't remember exactly where.

Above is posplayr (Jim), chef1366 (Bill), SqDancerLynn1 (Lynn), and Ken (I don't remember his GSR handle). I think I was leading this particular leg of the rally and I got lost only once, or twice. And those guys on their hot rod bikes kept passing me.

It seems Youtube didn't like the music I chose for the soundtrack to my video so I did their "audio swap". I thought some cool jazz would be nice.

Where are you in ca? I've been A member of the gsr for years and have recently been stationed in the central valley near Fresno. You close enough for a ride sometime? Know anyone up in the valley?
