A local lad called me to try and help him with his bike. Kept stalling at lights. Just out of the bike shop of horors and over 700 dollars later it runs like crap.
I told him to check the fuel mixture screws and make sure they are set right which he said they were about 1/2 turn out (correct) next I told him to take them out and inspect them (new carbs last summer)
Two of the needles were broken off and stuck in the carbs. Of course the little shop of horors denied touching the carbs. Not an easy job removing the broken tips.
TIP: do not over tighten the screws on your mikuni 34 or 36mm RS flatslides. Turn in with fingers until you feel resistance than stop.
