    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You could always reuse the double banjo from the splitter at the wheel caliper, then simply loop another short line over the fender to the opposite wheel caliper. I use straight banjos on the line that connects the calipers, and angled ones on the longer line that runs down from the MC.

Then you can reuse your original boot on the bar MC.

The existing brake line brackets work nicely to secure the new SS ones aw well. Slide a short piece rubber fuel line up the new SS line to fit snugly into the bracket stay - then lightly squeeze the stay to capture the lines securely...

I've done this on several bikes - works great.

yeah, that is one option. not sure i like the look of the loop going over the fender. it does look good on yours, though....hm. i'll have to check out how the hose routes out of the new calipers, this is a twinpot mod. i was thinking there must be some bikes that come with 2 lines from the master originally? not trying to get too obsessed over details, just occurred to me that there might be another boot that would fit. thanks for the reply, mike!

I just left mine naked, even though I kept the single line setup with the splitter, and I did order a new rubber boot, I just didn't put it on...I wanted to show off the SS lines as much as possible

Just leave it nekkid. The boot serves no function whatsoever.

Your bike will be 0.1 ounce lighter, too! :D

that is a point, for sure! between the eliminated splitter, the anti-dive take off, new rotors and calipers and the missing boot i'll hardly be able to keep the front on the ground! ha.
