    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I had trouble starting my bike a few days ago, just wouldnt turn over. So with a little charge time I was good to go. When I got back home, I checked the battery voltage, and it didnt go above 12v with rpms over 3k rpm. So, I tested the stator wires at the r&r and one leg didnt give me a reading at all. And I am really bummed out because I will be without my bike for a while.:(
I assumed the stator was gone so I ordered a new one from Electrosport. Over the next couple days I checked the R&R (all good) Then started to pull the bike apart to take the stator cover off. When I got the countershaft cover off I saw one of the stator wires had been chewed up by the front sprocket. ARRRRGH! There was the fault, crimped some new wires on it, put it together and fired right up. Over 13 volts at the battery. So, now I have a new stator coming that I dont need.
Maybe I can try to cancel the order, or keep one for a spare, or maybe sell it to someone on here that needs one:confused:
Anyway, Would running one of these 'high performance' stators give me more spark energy or help with performance?
 
Nope, no more spark

You've got the coil relay mod and Dyna greens - your spark should be a nice white/blue now

At least you found the problem before you took the new stator out of the box

Big T, Stators were/are a common failure item. personally would keep new item as spare, It's presence may keep gremlins at bay. G
 
I have read of a couple of stories about problems with electrosport stators going bad. So, because it has a 1 year warranty, I was going to install it and keep the old one for a spare.
 
Bad grounds, resistance and bad R/Rs caused the Stator failures. Not the stators themselves.
I'll take that extra stator off your hands friend. ;)
