A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey guys,
I'm out on the road right now and heading into Texas. Does anyone know of a really huge yard that is out this way? I seem to recall that during my search for parts a few months ago I cam across a pretty famous/large yard, but for the life of me can't remember if it was in tx or az. I'm looking on the nerd but not coming up with anything that jogs my memory!
Thanks

Red Springs.
More of a dead motorcycle with trees through the frame museum than a working yard.
Bring bug proof boots.

In East Texas, near Tyler, is the Red Springs Salvage yard. Just north of the Tyler State Park. 903-858-2252 but I'm told he doesn't usually answer.

Here in the DFW area I use L&L cycle in South Dallas for a good place to waste a day digging through a warehouse full of dead motorcycles. 214-421-2910

Over near Ft. Worth there's a place called Mr. Motorcycle (formerly called Richland Hills cycle or something like that) that has a pretty good collection of old Zukes. 817-624-7861 . mrmotorcycledfw.com

To me, Red Springs is by far the most interesting place to spend a day or so. It's probably 5 acres of row after row of old bikes just lined up collecting weeds. TKent and I went there a while back and he's right...some of the frames have trees that have grown up through them. It was summer and he wore shorts. Big mistake. I wore jeans and boots and he didn't take the hint. :-\\\

But for the guy that has time to search, it can be a gold mine.

Add this to your bookmarked or favorites sites everyone..........Google NORTH END CYCLE SALVAGE in Beaumont Texas. On the right side of the home page you will see a check box titled "SALVAGE YARD DATA BASE " Click on that and a screen with all the states will appear. Choose a state and al thamajor salvage yards in that particular state will pop up.

There's one here in San Antonio. What part of Texas are you talking about? It's a big place.
