DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Seat cover for Suzuki GSX750ES

No like everything else they changed the seats to.Very little crossed over from the 80-82.

That's for the 80-82 as well. Here's a pic of one of my 83 seats:

No place for the bit that goes up the tank in that one.

Think it would look odd without is.Just my opininon.

If Cliff put it on his site I'm sure they are pretty good.Have you seen the covers from anyone else? It,s always going to be a bit of a hoping game.Yes the site could be better.

I agree. A flat seat will look ridiculous.
What I'm looking for though, is a a seat that looks like yours with these classic stitches and all I can find is plain ones like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/suzuki-gs750-es-83-seat-cover-motorcycle-/190505532035
He who can provide me a link to a new one from the type you have will be declared a saint  !

Why not buy some marine vinyl and take it somewhere to get it upholstered. Hell you can even change the foam and look of the seat for $50-$60 total cost. I did it and it looks and feels a lot better. My seat matches yours.

Ranger,
Where I live there are several shops that do custom made seat covers but I did not like the quality. When it comes to one peace seat cover for dirt bike it's fine but when you're talking about stitches and the surrounding classic belt they will not be able to produce something with adequate standards.
I'll follow SVSooke advise and contact the guys athttp://motorcycleseatcovers.com
If they can provide a custom seat cover per a picture I'll send them I willing to spend the extra $$$.
I want this design :

Buy the way..
Am I the only one who thinks that this one looks like an elegant lady shoe ?

I found the same problem as you in that sense. I guess I was lucky to have found a guy who does work on vintage chairs, couches etc who has been doing it for 40 years and has a motorcycle so he knew what needed to be done for quality, comfort and style and then... was able to do it for a mere $50.

In the meantime while you look it may not hurt to call places who do different upholstery work.

I wonder if the name he gave the picture (Suzuki__82-83_GS-1100_EZ-ED-ESD_50-52-00) doesn't imply that its a seat for GS1100ES 1983 (see attached picture).

The 85 GS750s (Add the X for yours) came with the same seat as the GS700 in the US.Here's my bike:

And a 700

Side cover are different but the seat is the same. The other pic you linked to is a 83-4.Have 3 of those seats kicking around here.Same base, the extension over where the grab bar goes is a bolt in piece.

SVSooke,
Here is a closeup of my seat. Probably not the one the bike was born with.
1. Can you tell which model was it taken from ?
2. Will it fit the "Suzuki__82-83_GS-1100_EZ-ED-ESD_50-52-00" design made by Charles from http://motorcycleseatcovers.com ?

"Not the same seat at all" says Charles.
I guess I have no choice but to settle on a plain seat cover :( ..
