If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

well i am putting a gs1000 motor in a 05 yfz 450. long story short i got both for really cheap and now im looking to create a fully custom wiring harness. i took a stock diagram and took out everything i didnt think i needed. as i am no electrician, AND this is my first bike i have ever tried to wire up, any and all help will be appreciated. the motor had a full harness and what looked like everything i need. i dont know what year my motor is. the way my 2 coils seem to be wired is DIFFERENT then this diagram. my harness seems to be missing the igniter COMPLETELY, orange wire on each coil, and the 2 wires that come off the points inside the case(signal generator.. i think) one goes to each coil. its like the ignitor isnt there. the previous owner said the bike ran and the harness was 100% uncut, like he took everything off as one piece. well ive never heard of not running an ignitor, so im lead to believe that the signal generator wires were unplugged from the ignitor and plugged one straight into each coil by the previous owner to give me the illusion that it was complete.

i guess where my question lies is does this diagram properly illistrate how my gs1000 SHOULD be wired up?

and this is how it was "stock" from the guy. since i had just got the motor and harness i did not hear it run. so i cannot confirm that it worked/started with this schematic(doubt it). soo i could go ahead and buy any 2 connection/6 wire ignitor for the gs series motor and just wire it in as my first diagram illistrates?
