    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Very tasty sir. Looks like it is coming along nicely. What are you working with ? 1100? What year? Suspension & wheels? Do tell. ( Sorry didn't see the details in your signature 80/1100)

What do you have in mind for the bodywork?

There are some really nice looking refurbs and conversions come down the pipe these days and it looks like yours will be one of the next ones.

Looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

It's 1980 gs1100 or at least it was when I started. Front end is 92? gsxr, top triple drilled and risers installed so I can use comfortable bars, Bandit gauges, swingarm.
I am going to keep it stock looking because I like the look but everything else will be updated.
 
DOES IT RUN? Effing wicked. Thats where my bikes at so far only it doesn't have a monsterous engine in it :). nice.

OK I picked up on a few details:

Bandit Clocks (look nice).

Bandit swinger (still working on that I see).

Are those 18" wheels, they don't look like 17" . The 18" give a bit better clearance.

The forks look to be 1st Gen GSXR hopefully they are 86-88 1100 (about 32.25" long top to center of axle). What axles you running up front? the 86 had 15" and the 87-88 are 17".

What sprocket carrier is that GS ? Look like 5 bolt. Give details on spacer/sprocket offsets once you have it figured out.

Nice rear sets; looked to be modified 1st Gen GSXR 1100 units (the 1100 had the embedded rubber in the pegs).

I know it can be challenging to sort it all out, but it is worth the effort if you are looking for a stock upgrade that stays with the feel of the older bike. :dancing:
