A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Postings to the For Sale and Wanted sections will be deleted 90 days after the initial posting date if there has been no activity to the thread in the last 7 days. This is done to eliminate dead posts from the forum.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

SoCal - Here's an '82 Katana, not bad! And an '82 GS1100G - $8500 each. Not mine.

This is priced right at $8,500. Some quibbles but OK.

There's also a GS1100G for the same $ - I know which one I'd take (though at my age that 1100G would go well with my white shoes and beer gut). Pretty mint, but seems a very long shot price.

Agree on the quibbles but that Kat is nice.
What type of Bassani is it? It's a BADASS. :joyous:

Yeah, you can get a Pit Replica seat cover with the original colors off of eBay for $60. They are high quality, better than original, IMO. And those YSS shocks, pretty meh. I think I read that someone re-valved them, but isn't working on them currently. That's minor stuff.

Mine had a Kerker pipe and K&N pods, Fox shocks that I rebuilt (nice!), and I did the seat cover, polished the swingarm etc. That was 22 years ago, and it was only $1,500 - a guy needed to post bail fast

Everybody's got opinions... $8500, weeelllllllllll possible for the 1000 Kat as it was just a one year offering. Impossible for a non orig. GS1100G, or even a very nice orig. GS1100G.

Yes...opinions are like armpits - everyone's got one, and it usually stinks!

Whoever buys that shaftie for $8500, please contact me. There's a bridge next door in Brooklyn I can let you have for pennies on the dollar.

That 1100G still ahs original shocks and rubber brake lines on it. I'm guessing it's still going to need $500-$1000 in parts to make it daily rider reliable and safe.

The Wife probably told him he needs to get rid of one or the other.

It's obvious which one he's at least halfway willing to part with.
