A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well we made it to the track and it did not go well. My brother decided to mess with the clutch without letting me know and messed up the air gap in the slider to almost nothing. So the slider would not disengage after the burn out. He did get it staged and left from an idle and it headed straight. Straight for the wall. He was in the throttle for maybe 100' and had to let off he straightened her out and gave it another shot but she when for the wall again. On a good note he was only in the throttle for maybe 3 seconds in the two burst of throttle total and the slider would not disengage so the last half of the track it was engine braking and still went a 10.12@98mph. With the slider that messed up and no replacement parts at the track we packed it up and went home. Everything is fixed and adjusted now with the slider and rear wheel. It goes straight in front of his house anyway. Now we have to get back to the track. Man this bike sounds crisp. It might just pull off some high 7's We'll just have to see.

JD, I have a complete V&H spyder pipe, never been installed, still bare steel. Call me if you are interested. This is the stepped pipe they USED to make when I was still in R&D there. Spigots & all.
Ray.

Glad to see you at the track having fun. I'm stuck in Texas with no buddies to go racing with. I do have to get a new tire before the next test and tune. 7x17...Bike looks great.

Thanks Curt, what tire do you run. I have to buy both front and rear for my pro et bike. I was thinking of going to with Shinko Raptor it is a 26/7/17 it's under $150 and I really like the Shinko stealth and hook up radials for the stretched street bikes. No racing for me until it cools off way to hot for me to put leathers on. I can still be the pit man and get some testing done until then. The summer is our down time.

ummmm...."it goes straight in front of his house"...the neighbours must love that. haha.

They come out side to watch when we start up the bikes. I can't do that at my house any more my neighbors suck now. I used to be able to but no not any more. At least that what the law man said.

Its a Mickey Tompson 7 inch... Its pretty old. And the little wear holes are almost gone... I think Schnitz carries them... And yes its too hot...

$208 for the Micky or $144 for the Shinko. I am gonna go with the Shinko because of the good feed back I have received about them at the track.
I guess I lied about going to the track to race. I am going to Orlando Speedworld on Saturday 25th we usually run there a few times a year to collect some NHRA points. My bro wants to go since Bradenton is shut down from racing except for testing until September. As much as I am dreading the heat I love to race more.

Sticking with the Mickey because this one has lasted so long. Have fun in Orlando...
Curt
