Squeaky Engine noise

I had decided to tackle some of the maint myself on my first bike here and had it opened up to replace the cam chain tensioner and check the valve clearance (A while ago). Well I moved the thing late one night with out thinking and the cam timing chain slipped off of the front cam and messed up my timing (oops). I had some photos taken before the incident with the engine in TDC to compare the timing marks but I could not seem to line up the rear cam with my photo after a few attempts. (What can I say, timing is a new and foreign concept for me) After a couple of tries and having no idea I drug it down for some help where a mechanic willingly helped me time it, arming him with my shop manual, the Claymer and my photo he said that I was two links off in the rear cam and that it was all buttoned up and stuck back together. They also verified my (sketchy at best) measurements of my shim clearances and made some additional adjustments. Well it was working OK but it seams to have recently developed a squeak squeak squeak noise that has developed that is linear to the RPM's on the engine after about 2k miles. The intermittent noise speeds up with the engine and slows down with it. At first I though that I was just being paranoid but my friend also noticed the funny noise but it is something that others have noticed and asked me about. Should I be concerned about it? I could try to record it perhaps, but I am worried that it is a valve or something making that racket? Otherwise everything runs smoothly. Its coming from the right side of the engine, seemingly from the top area. Its something that people fell compelled to ask me about. Its a metallic sounding squeaking noise, the tachometer cable is brand new, and the worm gear driving it along the cam is in good shape, also the cam's c-clamp style bearing were lubricated prior to re-installing them on the top there, and nothing was dropped or contaminated the valve area as far as I know. The noise isn't coming from the tachometer itself either. Any ideas?

I think some video/audio would be your best bet here... I can't think of anything that would squeek like that...

I remember reading in one of my Honda twin manuals that a leaky head gasket can cause the squeaking noise you describe. I'll try to find it and post more details.

If its got points ignition then one drop of oil on the felt.

I tired warming it up for some video but it didn't want to cooperate today... Camera shy... Didn't make the noise.

Did notice that there is some oil seeping out near the upper engine half moon seal on the left after looking for any potential leaks. So that's probably it. If so easy fix and good suggestion.

I took it apart some to get at my clutch area today and am waiting on some new clutch springs.

Found it, it wasn't in the Honda manual, but Clymers Suzuki manual. Under engine noises in the troubleshooting section

6. Rapid on-off squeal-Compression leak around cylinder head gasket or spark plug.
