so im trying to get the starter clutch off of my 82' GS1100G
i rented a puller and am in the process of getting the assembly off. I only have one question, am i doing it right!?
ive got the puller on there and the bike is in gear. im having a friend hold the rear brake to keep it from moving and im just tightening away. the reason im uncertain is because the puller is already very tightly on there and at this point every time i try to tighten it more it just rocks the bike back and forth. after removing that single large nut on the end the assembly it should be ready to come off right?
are these things just REALLY hard to get off? i just dont want to break anything. thanks for the input in advance!
