    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey, Zig, Recognize this ?

.

It looks like that was a fun ride! Now your making me wish I was out riding instead of restoring my bike.

In early 1990s, Mt Pinatubo blew in Indonesia, lotsa particulates/gases pumped into the sky.
Made Pink/Purple sunsets for years.
Here Wizard & STJohn pose high up on the rim of Crater Lake just after Sunset.
I know, not GS bikes, but hey, I do have some GS blood in me,,..
Scanned from Kodachrome 64 Slide.

Wiz, how did you dig up this thread from 4 years ago?

And, Kodachrome 64, that is from some time ago too. I shot rolls and rolls of that, in late 70s and ealry 80s.
64 that was the faster, what was the regular? I dont remember, was it 24?

Have stacks of boxes of Bell&Howell slide cubes downstairs.

Ah, volcano gasses in air making more color in sunset. I know have better sunset here in late summer on higher humidity days.

(also note: is also a more recent posting/tread of "sunset photos")

I did a search on "Sunset", found your post,,.. am reluctant to pollute the system with unnecessary duplicate threads.
There was also a Kodachrome 25, was my standard selection.
But then I got a Canon EOS RT. Had a Pellicle Mirror (partially coated), so mirror never moved, 2/3 light went right thru it, fast camera, smooth and quiet.
But since I lost 1/3 light, I had to go to a "faster" film.:o
I had over 100 Kodak Carousel 140 trays loaded.
Been scanning them, during the winters, 'bout 1/2 way thru, and tossing the trays away, no one wants them,,..
Modern Digital Cameras are great, if a little too prolific.
Now there are more over-sized awful pictures than ever,,..
Always rember, think, before taking the pic.

Only YOU can prevent awful photos,,.. (not talking about yours)(insert here imaginary pic of Ansel Adams holding a tripod, pointing a finger at you).
