A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Much better, but if I was going to buy them again now they're on I would try and get slightly wider ones and possibly even lower still, maybe even drag bars - but that's just me, I'm used to modern sports bikes and clip-ons.

Oh and as you can see, no scratch on the tank.

...no scratch on the tank
Indeed! :) THAT is a NICE tank. (envy) ...and the black plastic is very nice! un-faded...you must be using a "plastic restorer" too? (I've recently "discovered" these..)

I don't know how you guys do it with such low-bars on a "four". they seem too long in the frame for me... but anyways, I THINK I can see you'll need be careful of the black paint on these does not seem to be as tough as chrome from my experience with the hand-me- down ones I use on a 400.

That was my issue with the Daytonas & SuperBike's, both were too narrow.

bobgroger, that offer to ship different bars for GSR members to try is a cool thing.
Wish you had offered that up 3 years ago, because I, like you, bought several different bars trying to hit that 'sweet' spot.
It would be cool to keep that sample box in circulation, take what you need, pack your discard and send the lot on.
But of course there would be just a collection of 450L buckhorns after a short time. lol

I dont think I'd have a problem with the narrowness of those bars, tge clip ons from the kat600 front end were actually really comfortable for me.. after i got the seat situated.

Rental has a great selection. They are aluminum, so are thicker on the inside.
The older BMW bends are nice sport touring bars, but are bit ninside. If they are to wide, pipe cutters work great to get the width you prefer. ZRX and Yamaha XJ650R(Seca) bars are a nice bend/height
