    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Surging problem

I'm having a problem with the 750 over 6000 RPM.
It seems to bog for a second, then suge ahead and bog slightly again.
I notice it on the highway now, over 140km/hr and it more noticeable between 140 and 160km. Maybe the needles or the mains themselves?
I'm not sure where to look for sure.
It only bogs for a second max, almost like I'm running out of gas, the rockets ahead for a few seconds then bogs for another second.
I am running 4 into 1, stock mikuni 34mm with 120 mains, stock needles, and 47.5 pilots.
Help?
 
What position is the throttle in when it is surging? If you are at wide open throttle, then i'd have to say to bump up the mains a bit -and or- raise the needle valve a notch.

Actually something new has come up.
I am only getting this when the oil temperature has reportedly reached 150C.
I am not sure why the temp is so high.
I took it up on the highway and accelerated up to 180 back and forth with the throttle without any surging until the oil temp rose to 150-160C, then the surging started.
Anyone suggest anything? I'm not pretty sure it's temperature related, But as to why the temp is so high, I can't figure out.

A lean mixture will cause your engine to produce more heat and cause it to surge. Try to determine what part of the throttle range it does it in and enrich the appropriate jet.
