swapped engines - now plug leads wont fit :-(

I have swapped my GS1000G Engine for a GS1100G.... I thought i was on the last stretch in rebuilding this bike.

when I got the gs1100g engine, i replaced the plugs, I have the engine in now but the spark plugs leads wont fit the plugs? they just dont seem to want to push on.

Do I need some new leads, or just the ends themselves? the gs1000 plugs looked the same?

Any help appreciated

There should be some threaded caps on the end of the plugs, you may have to remove them. Comapre the new plugs where the wires attach to the old ones and you'll see.

Don't the plugs have a screw on terminal? I thought this should be removed to expose a threaded stud. Compare to your old plugs
