Anyone got any tips for sync'ing Mikuni RS34 Flat Slides? These are the current new models (bought new in 2022), not the original versions.
I attempted a mechanical sync last weekend using a drill bit and was able to get them pretty close, but it took hours of fiddling.
Yesterday I spent about an hour trying to get them vacuum sync'd and got them reasonably close but not 100%. I have a Carbtune Pro and was aiming for < 2 of the horizontal marks between the reference carb (number 3) and the others but couldn't quite get them that close before I ran out of time (and sanity).
These are the most painfully tedious carbs I've touched so far, and there must be some sort of technique to getting them right.
The eccentric hex adjuster is soooo susceptible to the tiniest change that tightening/loosening the set screw always makes that last little adjustment a nightmare.
This is on my Katana.
