A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Can I ask WHY with all this work, & an 1100 motor, did you not put an aluminum 1100 swingarm on it? Ray.

Looks awesome.

Do you still need a rear axle?

I am only about an hour from Daytona. Maybe I could get up there to see your ride....

So this morning I decided to put a rolling frame together. Totally rebuilt 82 GS1100E front end went on. All new seals, progressive springs, race tech emulators, anti dive block off. Swingarm went on, new bearings and shock bushings. I had the works performance shocks that I purchased last year. Wheels on with GS1100E rotors. Just one problem, rear axle was so stripped that I couldnt thread the nut on. So it has a temporary GS1000 rear axle in(too long) until I get an axle.

Awsome

Awsome

If I only had a garage or basement. You've got me really motivated to get my project rolling. Keep it up and keep the pics coming! :)

Well I have dona ALOT of work since my last post. I didn't take any pictures yet because I have been so busy on this bike. My biggest concern right now is getting the bike done this week because I'm leaving for florida this coming saturday with it. Yeah, sounds crazy, but oh well.

The motor is in and it fired right up today. Man it runs awsome. I used a temporary gas tank and ran just a 4-1 no muffler. LOUD, and sounds great.

This past week I dialed in the cams, which was a PITA for a first timer. Took a while until I understood what I was doing. I have 80% of the wiring done, drive chain is on, but am waiting for a rivet tool from Z1. Also waiting on a clutch cable.

I really dont want to ramble on now about every detail because I am in the middle of priming the gas tank right now. I have alot of work to do still, but I'll get it done. I also have to get an inspection this week.

Pictures to come
