All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am so happy because today I got my old '77 GS750 back that I sold about 4 years ago. I used to be active on this forum but, of course, when I sold my GS I stopped. Spent a lot of time and money fixing up the old beast with a lot of help form this group but then decided to get out of old bikes and buy a new one. I always regretted that decision.

Browsing through the local Kijiji the other day and I couldn't believe my eyes but there was my old bike, looking just like when I sold it. Turns out the guy that bought it had a crash (on different bike) and has been laid up for last couple of years so the bike only has about 3000 km more than when I sold it. He is a very knowledgeable biker and has 4 other GS's including a '78 GS550 with only 7000 kms.

Anyway here is a shot of the old girl.

Cool. Glad you were able to buy it back. Can't imagine ever selling my bikes. Where are you? With your handle I'm assuming you are somewhere in Canada...I can see snow in the back ground so I also know you aren't close to me.:)
Maybe put up your location??
Welcome back!

Welcome, and cool on the fact that your bike came home......My regrettably sold 1150e is out there......somewhere..... I hope.
Nice looking bike also.

Congrats on the re-nab of your old machine!!! One thing I've learned is I really regretted selling the bikes I LOVED to ride. I was very very fortunate to get my first liter/ super standard back; my Bandit 1200. Well I pick it up in less then a month but it was a FANTASTIC bike that hurt to let go initially.

So congrats again and welcome back!!!

Welcome back, Brian.
I hope you told the seller about this great site.

Thanks for the welcome. It's good to be back. I think the seller is a member of this site already because when I mentioned it to him he seemed to know all about it. He has a couple of GS1000's, a 750, and the gorgeous 550 so he certainly knows his way around GS's.

Welcome back to the nut hole. Sounds like a pretty good reunion there, glad it worked out for you.

Great story ! Maybe you should give her a name like Boomerang or Boomer for short.
