A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The whole swedish tank thing is a crack on how those volvos are built...i swear i could hit a Peterbuilt with thing and win its soo heavy. all its missing is a turret.

And NO i wouldnt part that other out..thats Steve's (off here) GS850L and yes it is gorgeous.. we just took a pic one day when he was over..total contrast in styles...lol

actually my bike has a bit of a different line to it now...those shorty shocks are gone and it has a much meaner sportier stance now.. i need to find that damn USB cable or hopefully my new phone gets here soon. and in the second pic where those eight balls are is where that gauge set you're trading me is going so all that crap has to go..lol so'k cos i didnt like it anyways.

WOW nice job on that frame man!! lookin sharp! Tank looks good too...im currently looking for another one or two that have less bondo...i have a feeling that bondo wont stand for a strip and reapaint...plus it will give me cause to take the chance of pounding some knee inserts in one of em...mwwhahhhahaha

Thanks. I can't get over how good the frame looks also. Its not a 100% detailed job and some of it was halfassed but being flat it just looks really good. plus the imperfections don't come up at all, unless you're like 6 inches away.

The tank however. That's gonna need some more time. Right there it has a clear coat on it. The first one actually and I hadn't gotten to wet sanding it at that point. Right now its on its second coat.

Dude steve has a really nice GS lol I had to throw that in.

Dude I can't remember his name right now. Beer-something..... I think. But either way he pounded in his own knee inserts. looks pretty good but I think bondo was his friend

BeerGood Yeah him and byrdman and one of the guys off the DoTheTon site pretty much talked me thru it...sounds simple enough and in any of those jobs bondo is required...how much is all about how careful you are with the deadfall hammer...lol I got one tank coming in exchange for those gauges i had off a GS1100 (the huge jetfighter ones) and i really want one more got a couple of leads..havent heard back from them yet.

Actually thats his WIFES GS...he rides a Goldwing...and his son has a GS650

I would suck at it then. I have hammer skills like a carpenter/mechanic. I'd probably just mangle it

naw they say it pretty much goes the way you want it...with light taps...i too have construction hammer hands...lmao the key is getting the leading edges right..its cake from there

DUDE I FORGOT TO ASK. HEADLIGHT EARS I NEED HEADLIGHT EARS. Please tell me you have some

I do...I have two sets...but i think they're set up for the square light...might not make a difference cos the square light sat in a housing. Since i have two ill toss em in with the other stuff... and since you're my bro...they're all yours. Let me know if they work!

thought id throw up a couple of the lil KZ pics...just for ****s and gigles...still cleaning it up and i have an electrical issue to track down and then a repaint (brit racing green, camel seat cover and camel trim lines) and then she's up for sale... hopefully the GS guys dont shoot me...lol

Brit racing green is a good color. Nice bike though, why paint it. I think I apreciate these old jap machines more and more each day. Cuz man I got a hankering for a chopped XS650
