All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.
A Special Note about Email accounts!

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

a Sucrets box...lol
Lol or an Altoids can....
Just to let you guys know for sure by 81 it was a R/R already.
As for the diesel bike, its a rat bike so yeah that's the way its intended to look. And its a Daihatsu Turbo Diesel.
Well in the automotive industry if they feel a change they made was the wrong one they've been known to revert to an older tried and true technology. Like in the early 90's GM converted from TBI to Mass Airflow. But their system was too flawed. So they went back to TBI and stuck with it for a few more years.
Maybe the 79 R/R models just weren't good and they changed back. Then felt they could do it right and took a shot at it again?
They still arent good..lol...hence everyone switching to honda r/r's...just odd that they did that for that one year... makes for a pain inthe arse ill tell ya...
Hmm thought the only exclusion to that rule was the GS450... I know that as long as the GS engine was in service it featured roller bearings. Although I don't know much about the TCSS. But that would explain why everyone likes the 8-valvers so much
Steve and I and n1elkyfan were talking about it the other day when they were over and only the 750 and either the 1100 or the 1000 (He couldnt remember which. Tho i suspect we could find out in the GS history on the front page...lol) switched to the TCSS design...all others remained 8v roller bearing
Couldn't fathom a clue which one it is. If you ask me I think I'd prefer my 550 over everything else. Well maybe a 650. 750's lose the roller bearings and 850's have a five speed trans. Everything else is a liter bike. And I have no intention of getting one
you wanna go for pinks??? LMAO
