Well its barely 9 in the morning and I already got bad news to report on the bike. I tried bleeding the front caliper and got nowhere so one thing leads to another and I realize it can't be anything else other than a stuck piston..... I unbolt the bracket and take off the seal and try to pull the piston out.... Yup nothing. Use more force.... Nothing. Lock it between my feet latch on to the lip with some channellocks and pull with all my force. Which is a pretty good amount..... And get nowhere. I think its safe to say that that caliper is f-u-c-k..... FVCKED.... I'm not even gonna bother with it and replace it with a better, lighter and prettier caliper.

Give him $700 for it. Honestly I wouldn't buy it because of the chance of parts not selling but I think parting it out for the rotors, calipers, rear wheel, motor, swingarm and maybe the frame to a stunter, along with all the other tidbits will come out to way more than what he wants for it.... But like I said there's a chance that it won't sell.... Wait you didn't say you're gonna part it all out. Nevermind you're gonna use it it right? Yeah I think it'll come out good. Check what that engine is going for in your area or just on ebay and see if you'll make back a good amount of cash on that

about 500. give or take. and i should be able to use the swingarm , rear wheel , triple tree , rear brake , rearsets , muffler , maybe even midpipe.

i'll sell the frame for a good amount as well , or maybe i can make it into a bobber project if the vin is clean.which it's probably scrapped so parts it is but a racer or unscrupulous non caring person would bu the frame to race or stunt or smoke crack on and cut lines with , lol

A stunter is your best bet. I wouldn't trust it the frame after that crash... I say good deal if you can sell the motor

Hey Cole man, thanks a billion again for the assist on the wiring today bro! Im stoked to have working, lighted gauges and even the gear possition sensor works!! All out of a pretty chopped harness (heheh we did some choppin of our own with a spare harness..but hey..it works...lol )

How hot do the cases and cam cover get? Shouldn't get THAT hot right?
Gets hot enough id think...

Shi7z magee on your caliper bro...that sucks...im kinda in the same boat i think..i think my MC is shot..i rebuilt and cleaned the pi$$ out of it, but it's still sticking i think, i havent had it out on the road, but it looks like it is. Might be my brake line tho...guess ill have to see bout that one...

Hey Kid...

Just wanted to drop a note to let y'all know I'm still alive and kickin.....Iron.....shoulda bought my bike!:-s all the spares you could use!

What up bro!! Got the new house yet? How's things?? Get yer bike sold? Still workin on mine..just went on a parts buying spree today..new brake pads, new grips, a head off ebay, a centerstand off ebay, traded some stuff for some rearsets, and im swapping some other stuff for a GS1100 swingarm to convert on my bike, and a fairing (well bought that the other day) I dont need a new head, but mine has some broken fins on it, and this was 32 buks, so i couldnt resist. Plus i can do a valve job and what not on this and take my time doing it, and still have a running bike..lol SO ive been a busy bee..

S'all good. come by and pick it up whenevers. I just snagged a new head for my bike off ebay. valves cams and all...looks like its in pretty good shape. AND NO BROKEN FINS...lol

Purdy effing wicked. Take your time and polish it. I would. I'd do all kinda sh!t to that head like port it and crap

I may do just that very thing bro...i figure if its better shape than my own, it's gonna be cake to get it cleaned up, new valve seals and what not with it off the bike. I'll have to ask in the tech forum to see if there would be any problems bolting it right on and goin when i get it done, but wouldnt think so.

Riot bro wussup? Any tasties for me today??

Sorry bud the total work list comes to screwing with the carbs for a few minutes. I started yesterday and did about the most work I've done to them in.... well ever actually. I came this close ----------><----------- to finishing them last night BUT the spacing was off or something. The last carb just wasn't fiting right. It was about a quater inch off from fitting on the rack correctly so I left it there for the night and in the morning I came to realize that ther's some kinda wierd plastic spacer on the throttle assembly that is throwing off everthing so I tried cutting it out today and there's still something screwed up with it. Damn thing sucks too I was anxious about starting it up...

Oh and I finally got the money for the rear fender. Sold it on ebay. It took a few days to get the money from the guy but hell yeah its in

Torqueing it correctly is the only thing I can think of
