My '82 GS650l was knocked over by a passing car while parked on the street - luckily the only damage was a broken barrel adjuster on the throttle cable housing. The break causes the throtle cable to bind in the housing, holding the throttle wide open - needless to say the bike is unsafe and unrideable.
I have a replacement for the cable but cannot figure out how to get access to the cable on the engine side. Is there a way to replace this cable without removing other parts to gain access - or are my fingers just too fat?
