My choke is a two handed operation. Most of the muscle is done with my left fingers down on the carbs, while I use my right hand to make sure the lever just follows along. I've been told it likely can't be fixed without disassembling the carbs.
My carbs are being cleaned right now. I assumed they'd be separated, but we didn't get that far into specifics. But he did say he couldn't guarantee that he could fix the thumb actuator. If the carbs are separated from the 'rack', or each other, is there any reason the thumb switch can't be made to work? (If you try to actuate the choke solely from the handle bar now, the choke on the carb will move slightly and then the plastic lever on the handlebar will break.)
