I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Are you wanting a 140 tire on there for looks or because you think it will give you more traction? My question i quess is will there be enough clearance by the driveshaft.
Didn't know there was 16's on the rears of any GS..![]()
If it is, I believe that would be unique to the GK.I believe that rim is 2.75" wide.

Not sure about the chain-driven 1100s but I have not seen any shafties with a rear wheel wider than 2.5".
.
That could be true. If they were running a stock 130 then a 2.75" wheel sounds right. The OP can verify that by checking the castings on the wheel.I think all the 850-1100G 16" shafty rears are 2.75".
Would you mind checking the sizes that are cast into the wheel and letting us know what they are?I have three GS all with 16" on back 1981 gs 550 L - 1981 gs 650 l and 1982 gs 1100 gk.
Sure enough, it shows both the 650L and 850L wheels as 2.75.FYI, the wheel sizes are listed in the Suzuki parts fishe. Most if not all 16" GS wheels are 2.75" wide.
If you have 3/8" I think you can squeeze it in there.I just checked and i have 5/8" on swingarm side but only 3/8" on driveshaft side and the rim is 2.75 wide but im still not sure it would fit.
