DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Tofino BC trip report...with AZR

So Friday Rob and I had lunch at Wheelies and decided that we should go for a good ride on Sunday. On Saturday we decided we would just do the Port Renfrew loop..about 325kms (200miles). We met this morning at, where else but Tim Hortons (we are Canadian don't cha know) at 9am. It was sunny so we said what the heck lets ride to Tofino...neither of us had rode our bikes there before because in the summer during tourist season the road would be brutal! So we thought why not take advantage of the nice weather as the forecast was sunshine and 100% no chance of rain for the whole Island.
The round trip was about 680kms (410miles)
We got home around 7:20pm and rode the last hour and a half in the dark, me with a tinted shield!
We will be doing this again soon

Rob decided to raise the water level of Lake Kennedy.

Traffic was pretty light. There weren't many times at all that we were held up. We've probably got till about May sometime before that changes. I'll add one too.

Lunch time...

An awesome Salmon BLT...

Life is good! Notice the Old Skool helmets...lol

And we parted ways because the street lights had come on and we had to be home. Ten hours later.
Great day, great ride with a great friend! Could not have been any better, thanks Rob!

Terrific photo's Trevor! I hope the water wasn't too cold or the bottom too rocky for Rob as he contributed to the water level of Kennedy Lake.;) I'm doing some research for loop rides up my way for when you guys come over. There are some fun routes around here. Talk to you guys soon.:D

Thanks Glenn, can't wait to explore your backyard.:)

Been going up there every summer since 94, but the tradition ended for some reason. That 5th photo is a great place to swim. Never been on a bike though. How were the road depressions and general state of tarmac? Great photos.

They've actually done a bunch of new road so it was pretty nice. By the time you got to Kennedy lake the road depressions started but there really weren't too many. There was some pot holes on the way to Tofino including one that had to be 24 inches long and probably 4 inches deep  that one was a killer for sure.

Now that is what I call a decent day's ride. None of this; "Rode 18 miles to Fort Who's it's for a drink and I was beat when I got home!" Looks like a good lunch. Salmon BLT...life's good! Thanks for the pictures.
