A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Still no word from George on if they would sell me a copy or not. I'll give them a call and see.

I picked up a spare set of cases off eBay this week. Praying they are in good of condition. Still havn't started pulling Red apart. I did finish up the oiler for it. Big old ugly lines. The only thing it needs is the starter gear and cover which will have to be custom made and the timing cover. Plan to CNC another one but will use the same paint so it matches. Should look pretty nice with it.

Mark,
I like that red ignition cover. Where'd ya get it?

No more Fisher Body bike class at Martin. No more bike class, period....

I guess they decided at the last drivers meeting to roll them in with the cars. The car guys couldn't believe we were running for $300. I guess they welcomed us and made a comment about how polite we all were. This is good to hear. It will cost us between $10 and $20 more to run but the winnings are in the $1500. We can also run box and no-box class. At the end of the year they will just take the highest points bikes and use them for the finials. Not real clear on how this is going to work. We plan to switch at least one bike back to run in box class.

Thats bad to hear. Seems bike classes are shrinking everywhere. You guys were doing pretty good at $300. We run for $100 to win and $50 to runner up. We'll see what changes are in store now that TRP is going back to IHRA. Our banquet is at the end of January.

Actually, I think that is GOOD for you Mark! I LOVE racing cars & they get BENT when they find out their $65,000.00 race car got beat by a bike that runs in the 8s & only cost 4 grand to build! Good luck with the new classes! Ray.

We had about the same turnout last year as the year before. So I'm not thinking it was a count problem. It may be more that they did not want the hassel of running such a small class.

At least from our view, this is good news. Just from a cost stand point. Right now when we win, we are about even. Figure fuel for truck, bikes, entry fee, food. You add wear and tear on the bikes and I bet we are in the hole. At least now we have a shot at coming out ahead.

What do you pay to enter to win a $100? We were paying $35 to win $300. Lane Automotive would also kick in at the end of the year to the top 4 places. Very nice of them.

I guess the plan is $50 now to run Modified (no-box) and $1200 to win. Or $50 for Top (box) and $1200 to win. Modified is a 13.99 class and Top is 11.99 so its not a problem.

I would need to actually get a license is all to run Top. I have started the paper work and had the Dr. sign my papers.

Class entry fee is $30. They used to run a lightning round at the end of the night for another $400. The three class winners each week raced each other for it. They stopped that about two years ago and put the money toward a quick 16 class. The winner of quick 16 goes into top somewhere along the way. So their payout can be pretty good. It brought in a couple fast cars, but after going thru the shutdown they never came back. It's got some rolls those guys don't like.

As the 07 class winner I have a gold card for 08. Covers any Wed. or Sat. racing.

None of our tracks in south Texas have bike classes any more.Personally I enjoy running against the cars.It will make you better racer.Even our IHRA bracket finals we run with the cars.I was Div4 r/u in our Summit Super Series and our Super Pro track champ for 2007

I used to race cars all the time as a youngster. There were no bike classes around here. Stay in the right lane and they can't judge you.

The used cases made it in today. Look pretty good.
