Hi!
I have recently purchased a GS1150 undercut transmission.
After receiving it, I realized that all drive gears with square dogs (item 1 in the diagram: counter shaft assembly) have been undercut on both sides (dovetail shape). IMHO these look very good and seem to match up perfectly ... but this is the first time that I examine one of these.
When I looked at the driven gears (drive-shaft # 21 with sprocket on the end), I realized that nothing seems to be modified on the round slots and protrusion on the gears.
Question:
When undercutting a transmission, are only the dogs on the drive gears modified, or should something have been done to the others also?
