A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Trip to Chippewa Falls and surrounding area

I hope you'll still be able to slum it and ride with us po' GS riders.......:D

Missed you guys...really...

We rode solo all weekend...only time we talked with the BMW crowd was our couple stops at the rally camp site, once or twice at gas stops and in the bar at our motel...

I have several observations about this crowd and several more observations about doing a solo trip vs. a group ride...
I will post those up a little later...:)

As I said yesterday, the ride home went well...
After breakfast at the motel...we hit the road about 8:30am...and slabbed 45 minutes down to Black River Falls...
From there we went to the Mindoro Cut again...this time without all the Harleys in the way, we could get some better pictures.

When we got to the cut, Amy decided to test her gear...as she was getting off the bike, her foot slipped in the gravel and she went down hard, face first...
Most of the impact was knees and hands, but with her armored pants and gloves on, not a scratch...
She always complains about wearing gloves, but she said she was glad she had them on then...

From Mindoro, we continued down to 33 and rode Wildcat again...I was feeling much smoother and in control this day, much more so than on the first day of the trip...
Very fun!:D

Stopped at an interesting natural rock formation...we were going to walk around a bit, but when we took our helmets off our sweaty heads, we were engulfed in gnats....
Seriously...after 1-2 minutes, we couldn't take it anymore, and geared back up...
Amy got one blurry shot from the bike.

And what trip would be complete without a stop at Culver's...this one was on 14 about 30 minutes from Madison, WI.

At Madison, we picked up the slab the rest of the way...and it sucked like always...but the BMW loves to cruise at 80-85 all day long...:D

It was a great trip...the bike ran without a hitch all weekend...we had lots of fun...

Today...I just have to wash the bike.

Aww.......you're gonna make me cry. Do we need a group hug?

I'm looking forward to your observations. Cathy and I have gone on one non-GS rally, an FJR rally. It just wasn't the same and we haven't done another since.
