A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I got my new Left hand controls from there for cheap.

They don't have to be model specific unless you are trying to keep it original. I have a set of GSXR switches to mount someday.

Same thing happened to me. I haven't fixed it yet so post here if you are going to bid on something so we don't drive the prices up on each other.

switch gear

switch gear

Hello
Go with the late modle Katana or GSXR switch gear. as long as you match up the wires. If the connectors turn out to be of different configurations. Put on your own connectors or solder them together and cover with shrink wrap tubing.

Best of luck, Archie

My 82 1100E has self-cancelling turn signals. Some other models don't. How do you know which models are compatible?

Michael

Ask the seller. The switchgear I picked up is set up for self-cancelling, don't remember what year though. Some 2k or later model I believe. You could also check Bikebandit.

Hi just being able to push the switch inwards is a major improvement.
I don't know how many times I've tried to cxl my turnsignal and the opposite turn signal comes on:)

Resurrecting this thread to ask if modern or aftermarket controls are compatible with 1978 GS750E.

My turn signal button is broken off and PO wired it ghetto style. Can still signal if I use my fingernails!

Also, the RH switches/throttle spin around the handlebar. I heard there was supposed to be a hole in the handlebars that a little dongle would go into from the switches, but there is no such hole on my handlebars, and no such dongle. Gluing seems like a bad idea...right?

Unless, your prepared to do wiring, I wouldn't stray too far from the year of your bike. Ebay always has sellers with this stuff. Get replacements and be safe.
