A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hello,
My turning signal was broken off today. Do I have to order a used one of an old bike or can I get a generic one froma parts store that might work? Thanks,
DG

PS-Are all the turning signals the same? (can i replace the front right with a left or rear turning signal?)

...just know that common aftermarket signals that have LED lights inside won't trigger your flasher so make sure to get the kind with a regular bulb inside.

Even if you buy an aftermarket look alike for the stock GS turn signals make sure you are looking for 1 or 2 filament lamps.

On the GS1100E's the fronts are 2 filament with two wires and ground. The backs are single wire plus ground.

The dual front is for running lights even though they may not be hooked up. The other is the blinker.

No idea what bike you have, but............

K&S makes aftermarket OEM replacements.

http://www.kandstech.com/

Pulled the part numbers I wanted off the K&S website. Then I ordered mine through a local motorcycle shop, just asked to view their "Parts Unlimited" catolog.

I think I paid about $30 each, basically identical to the OEMs, and come with filiment bulbs.

I have 5 or 6 of the black stalk stock signals in a box somewhere, some off a 1000G, some off an RF900, and some off my 1100E, post a pic of exactly what yours looks like and I'll see if I have an exact match.

i used k+s storties on my '79 and loved the way it changed the look. i had to modify them a little since the were for a different type bike. im sure you can get some suzuki specific, i just bought the ones i did because i broke on of mine and didnt have time to wait on a set to come in. 50% off didnt hurt either.lol.
