A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Upper Peninsula tour..

Heading out to ride around Lake Michigan soon. Any recommendations for UP "can't miss" sites and some good campgrounds? Thanks.

I live in Peshtigo WI, which is about 7 miles from the lake (Bay of Green Bay) and we have Badger Campground which is kept up nicely and quite cheap. Also usually has open spot except for the 4th and our local Historical Days. Not too many "Must Sees" around this area worth stopping on your trip, but will be a nice trip with lots of nice scenery.

Thanks, Ben. Looks like a great place. Was told to try to get through Kettle Moraine. Looking forward to the alphabet roads. Rode Western Wisconsin before. Time to try East and north side. Planning on going all the way around Lake Michigan.

I am boarding the Badger this Fri in Ludington to go to N wisc for a bike ride w/ other CB "F" bikes.
I go to the UP regularly. While there are cool places in the southern UP, the best is in the north & in the west.
North- Grand Marais, take H-58 to Munsing(pictured Rocks) 58 is the BEST road in da UP. Stop at Grand Sable falls, river, lake.

West- the entire Kewanaw peninsula. Brockway Mt pass, Fort Wilkins, GAY mi(go to the GAY bar) LAKE OF THE CLOUDS(must see)

You could go through the UP cross the BIG MAC & ride down to Ludington & take the Badger home.

Excellent tour of the "UP" completed. 2800 miles total ride out of Iowa. Pictured Rocks Lakeshore road was a fun one (h58). Also, South Boundary rd. in the Porcupine Mountains. (Keweenaw Peninsula) Didn't do the Badger. Beautiful country up there. Took the Wisconsin alphabet roads home.( riding along the Mississippi). Rain followed us much of the trip.. Lots of flooding!

Good for you. I hope you enjoyed our U P. H-58 has got to be one of the best. Did you stop @ the Lake Superior Brewing Co? Grand Sable Falls? Sounds like a LONG ride.
I just got back from a 1053 mi ride to N wisc. I took the SS Badger out of Ludinton MI to Manatowok Wisc.

We went to neither. We did see some falls up there, just can't remember which ones. It was a long, lazy ride. Was surprised that Mi. charged us $32 each for a pass to go through the parks. Or else it was $8 each park. Figured they could make up some revenue some other way than to charge tourists to see the natural beauty of the state. Would do it again..just sayin'...:D
