If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey guys,

i am considering putting a Vance & Hines "Pro Pipe" ( not the pro stock sidewinder style ) on my 1982 GS1100GL..... does anyone know if it will bolt up to the head properly ??....

I am aware I will have to make Brake Pedal mod's but i just need to know if anyone has this pipe on thoer GL or know if it will fit or not....

I am also concerned about clearance to the front wheel as well.... thanks in advance

Robb

No baffle in that pipe. Way to loud for the street. No bottom end power. Great for the strip only.

Will not work with stock wheels 18inch, it will rub on the wheel, I put a 17inch and went with the leading axle forks on my drag bike......

I THINK THAT THERE IS AN INSERT CALLED THE (((?????????????)))BAFFEL THAT ALLOWS YOU TO PUT SOME FIBERGLASS INTO IT. SORRY THE NAME ESCAPES ME.
I HAVE ONE FOR MY SIDEWINDER AND I THINK THAT BOTH PIPES USE THE SAME MEGAPHONE.
Boy am i losing it tonight

Help! I have the same problem on my 82 Katana 1100.
Recently I have bought a V&H ProPipe on BikeBandit and found that this Pipe come without a baffle and "require chassis modifcation". Actually I want to buy the Megaphone!

1. Is this pipe too loud for street?
2. lose most of the back pressure and lack of power in the lower band?
3. Is there any replacement baffle+cover can be put into the pipe?
4. Will it rub the front wheel (88 GSX-R750 120/70-17)?

Ground clearance is not my main concern, I just don't want to send it back to BikeBAndit because I will lose the Fedex fee (BikeBandit-> me -> BikeBandit) and the tax paid. That is nearly equal to the price of the pipe.

Please help!

Scotty is right, you can put a Baffle in it.I think V&H still sells them.

I LOVE THE VH 4 INTO 1 , YA ITS KINDA LOUD, BUT NO WERE NEER THE STREAIGHT PIPE V TWINS I love the pro street header sound
I ride in the mornings to work 5:30 am nice little warm up
and a smack on the gas to wake the hood HEHEHE
ITS OK THEY PLAY LOUD MUSIC LATE AND SMOKE THER WEED SO THE LEST I can do is TEACH THEM WHAT A GOOD BIKE SHOULD SOUND LIKE

I ride by cops and they don;t seem to mind the nosie , I don't gun it
but still they could be bigger pains if they want to

sidewinder

sidewinder

i know have a v&h sidewinder on my bike with nobafle and i love the way it sounds going down the hi way lol. neighbors hate it but oh well cops dont bother me about it its no louder than a hawg or metric cruiser

My Basanni has no baffle in it for now (until I fix it) and doesn't sound any louder but it sure sounds purdy. :) I also wake up my Harley loving neighbors. At 6 am though.
