A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No, once again, that is a mixture screw for a BS series carb.

.
I think that is what he's asking for....BS carbs for a '83 GS1100E, right?

EDIT...I see it was Mad GS750 asking about the CV's....2 requests from 2 different people for 2 different bikes in the same thread....oh, so confusing....

Isn't that what Madgs750e was asking for?

The link for Z1 Enterprises that theo posted below for air screws states they are for GS 750/850/1000.I have a 83 GS 1100 E with BS34SS carbs that im cleaning i could use one of those screws. Are they the same screw even tho they dont list the 1100,they sure look the same?thanks

Well, there are 2 people asking about 2 different bikes in this thread....so that is the correct one for Mad GS750 but not for the original poster....

Not sure which link you saw that you are asking about, he posted two of them.
Look for the link that ends with "2569", that is the one you want.

There are two screws that look very similar. The "2568" screw is 20.6mm long, the "2569" screw is 22.0mm long.
The bikes up to and including the 1000 use the 20.6mm screws, the 1100s and 1150s use the 22.0mm screw.

:mad:Thanks to all for the thread jack:mad:
Don't take it personally. :o
It's not the first time it's happened, and likely won't be the last.

The thread started about valve adjustment, then you took it to carb screws, then it got diverted to other carb screws
by someone who was really meaning well, so it didn't really go too far sideways.

OK, let's get back on track. You get those broken tips out of your carbs yet? :-k

I want to apoligize to Ford_Racoon for high-jacking his thread, didn't mean to tick you off sorry.I only did it because i'm not that good with computers and didn't know how to drag a link to another tread, good luck with your project. Thanks

Naaahhh, I don't think Ford_racoon was really mad. After awhile, we all get our threads hijacked to some degree.
PM me if you still need that air mixture screw, I mentioned earlier.

Does anybody happen to know the model number for the stock 79 gs850 carbs? Im gonna search for the parts I need on the net.

Ok so I got the vm26ss. Where can I buy fuel pilot screws? I know that the kit from Z1enterprise has them but I dont really wanna pay $80 just for pilot screws.

Never hurts to post in the Parts wanted forum. The pilot fuel screws for all the GS VM carbs are the same so that should help you expand your search.

Do all mikuni vm carbs have the same pilot fuel screw? Or is it just the gs versions?

Wouldn't be surprised at all if the 77 to 80 Kawasaki 650 carbs shared that
part.
