Yes? I'm here (finally).Steve????????????????
Yes? I'm here (finally).
If I was home, I would simply go out to the garage and look at the label on the hose that I bought.
Since I am about 1000 miles away from home, I will, instead, go to the Alpha Sports site and note that the description says "HOSE, BREATHER (11X15X250)".
I guess that means that it's 11mm inside diameter, 15mm outside diameter and 250mm long.
Alpha's price for that hose is about $30, everyone else's is about $20, but it's better than it seems.
You actually get about 6 FEET of hose, which is much more than the 10 INCHES you need.
If you go to the auto parts store, you might find some 7/16" hose, but it's going to be much thicker-walled and hard to use.
.
Well, obviously I splurged and got the "real stuff". As I mentioned, it's much longer than you need, there is actually enough in there for 6 or 7 bikes, bringing the effective cost down to about $3 per bike.Yes, the auto parts store hose is thicker but I bought some anyway for my bike. No F'ing way I'm paying $20+ for a piece of stink'in hose from Suzuki.![]()
So does the original hose.Silicone heater hose at the autoparts stay flexible, even here up north.

You in a hurry? :-kSo which one of you guys with "extra" valve cleaner hose wants send me a hunk?
Don't think that it's unneeded. It is rather important to have that hose. If you still have a stock airbox, the port on the top of the valve cover should be connected to the airbox. If you have installed individual pods, you should either have a small filer or a catch can on the end of the hose so that unfiltered air does not get into the top of the engine.... A lot of good info for what I thought was just a Hose. Possibly unneeded. Steve, you should never leave Home. Too stressful for the rest of us!!![]()
